We meet at 7:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month in our Route 27 clubhouse. Prospective members are welcome and encouraged to attend any meeting.
Safety Tours are required to join.

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting - Women’s Only Class Range time included. Basics of Pistol Shooting will be taught in a one-day format. During the supportive women’s only class we will cover the following topics: Safety at home and at a range, principal parts and types of actions, how to handle a pistol in a safe manner, fundamentals of pistol shooting, shooting positions, common malfunctions and cleaning, selecting a pistol, and qualifying on a range. This course meets state of Maine minimum for concealed carry permit application if you pass the 50-question written examination and qualify by putting 5 rounds in 4 target circles at 10’. Students will receive the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting textbook. $150 to general public. $135 to Wiscasset Rod & Gun Club members. Must preregister at www.amaineguide.com 207 729 6333 Email Alice ([email protected]) for discount coupon. Bring lunch, snacks, beverages, pens & notebook. Bring favorite handgun, owner’s manual, ear and eye protection and 50 rounds of ammunition. If you do not have a handgun, and wish to live-fire, one will be provided to you for a $25 ammunition fee. No live ammunition allowed in our classroom.
