SUMMARY:NRA Range Safety Officer Training
DESCRIPTION:Wiscasset Rod and Gun Club \nThe Safety Team presents \nNRA Range Safety Officer Training \nThe Wiscasset Rod and Gun Club will be hosting a training course for \nRange Safety Officer  \nOn Friday Sept 13th and Saturday Sept 14th at its facility beginning at 6pm Friday and continuing on Sat from 8am to about 2pm.  Completion of this course permits the successful applicant to serve as a safety official at any NRA range or other range that recognizes NRA credentials for the purpose of insuring the safe and appropriate conduct and operation of a shooting range.  The course will cover inspection and safe handling of various types of firearms as well as the proper methodologies for misfires\, squibs\, jams and stove piping. \nThis is a nine-hour course and will have a break for lunch on Sat.  Please bring your lunch with you or you may drive into town for supplies. \nTo recap: \n\nRSO Course: Sept 13 &14 starting a 6pm Friday continuing the next morning\nHosted at the Wiscasset Rod and Gun Club facilities located at 794 Gardiner Rd Wiscasset ME 04578 (GPS will bring you right to this address)\nProvide for your own lunch\nBooks and materials provided with the cost of $35 payable upon arrival\nYou may sign-up at the following address: https://www.nrainstructors.org/CourseDetails.aspx?Courseid=843539\n\n  \nQuestions may be sent to CRSO Frank H Hansen at frank.hansen@freedommmaine.org   207.841.2867

SUMMARY:Mentor Shoot
DESCRIPTION:The WRAGC safety team will be holding a mentor shoot on June 15th 9:00am to 2:00pm at the clubhouse. \nOpen to members and non members. This is designed to help shooters with one on one guidance become more comfortable with their firearms\,  shooting\,  cleaning and handling them safely.\nPlease bring handgun and at least 50 rounds of ammunition.  Hearing and eye protection. \nThere will also be a class offered called “Understanding Constitutional Concealed Carry “ that will be offered free to club members and $20.00 to non members.  Text books will be offered to all at a discounted price of $30.00. The class will take place at the clubhouse from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on the same day as the mentor shoot.\nAnyone interested in attending the mentor shoot\,  the class or both\,  please contact Frank Hansen at 207-841-2867 or\nfrank.hansen@freedommaine.org
